Have you ever heard this quote? “Don’t take life too
seriously. You will never get out of it alive.” When you think about, it makes
sense. We all want our lives to mean something, to matter, but if we put to
much pressure on the perfect job then we forget about enjoying life. I don’t want
this blog to end up being too serious about graduation, finding a job, and
growing up. Where’s the fun in that???
So this weekend some of my friends headed to Charlotte for a
fun night out on the town. My one roommates Kelly turned 21 the week before so
we were celebrating her birthday! It was
so much fun to let go of some of the weekday stress and just go out with my
friends. We had an awesome night; we made some new friends and even ran into
some old ones!
Kelly is the birthday girl in blue!
We started the night at Vida, a Mexican restaurant in the Epicenter. AND IT WAS AMAZING! I definitely recommend eating there if you ever go to Charlotte (get the guacamole and the taco salad). After that we spent the night dancing away at two clubs, Bubble and Suite. It was honestly a night I will never forget! We had so much fun just dancing and sipping on our fruity drinks. I can’t wait to go back!
Honestly driving out of the city in the morning I took a
look at the apartment buildings on the outskirts of the city and realized
something. I could really see myself living here, I know I was only there for
one night, but it’s definitely something to look into. I can’t limit my
opportunities by only looking for jobs in New Jersey and NYC. This is the time
when I am allowed to move anywhere I want, I have no restrictions, nothing
holding me back! So with that I think I will expand my job search to Charlotte
and maybe some other cities near by…. Still not ready to leave the east coast…
but who knows!?!
Hi Rachel!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with you that now is the time to go anywhere you want and that nothing should hold you back! I'm leading my career search with that in mind as well. Also glad you took a break (and i tagged along with haha) and let go of all the stress through my number 1 stress reliever: Dance. We definitely need to go back soon!
Sincerely,
Francesca Barker
